Siiponkosken Jokikeskus is around beautiful scenery at Siiponkoski village in Haapajärvi town, Finland. It's located 4 km from Haapajärvi town center to Ylivieska city's direction. Siiponkoski village is near to highway 27.

Siiponkoski village association (Siiponkosken kyläyhdistys ry) has been operating since 1996. Siiponkoski village association has owned the school after abolition of elementary school in 1999. Siiponkoski village was awarded as North Ostrobothnia's village of the year in 2020 by the Pohjois-Pohjanmaan kylät ry association.

You can enjoy the beautiful nature of Siiponkoski. It is a great place for trekking to people of all ages. Isosaaren polku and other nature trails start at backyard of old school. Siiponkoski's nature is popular especially among the locals. Kumpujen polku trail is a newer trail (starts after second footbridge), and along the trail is also accessible Myllynketo Lapp hut with a fishing dock and a dry toilet (Siiponkoski nature sites & trail paths in Haapajärvi town own page). There is a total of 5 km of trails.

Easy trails, footbridges, bird-watching tower, campfire places calling to enjoy the nature around the year. The area is crossed by the river Kalajoki. In spring and fall time it's resting place for migratory birds and bird-watching tower near to Kortejärvi lake is great way to spot them.
If you want to watch nature in whole different angle, canoe trip is such a nice way to do it. And not to forget that there are good biking roads near the Siiponkoski.
